Recommended Route | A Relaxed Cherry Blossom Walk While Enjoying Minato Mirai’s Highlights

The best route starts at Rinko Park and continues through Pukari Pier, Megami Bridge, Sakura Street, and in front of Landmark Tower, ending at Sakuragicho Station.
It’s the perfect course to enjoy cherry blossoms alongside Yokohama’s beautiful waterfront scenery.

Along the way, you’ll see iconic landmarks such as the InterContinental Yokohama Grand, Cosmo Clock 21, and Landmark Tower!

【Yokohama Minato Mirai Recommended Cherry Blossom Route】
Rinko Park → Megami Bridge → Cup Noodles Museum Park → Sakura Street (Landmark Tower) → Kishamichi → Sakuragicho Station
Approx. 45 minutes walk / about 3 km

Rinko Park, the starting point, is accessible on foot from Shin-Takashima Station or Minato Mirai Station on the Minato Mirai Line, or from Yokohama Station.
You can also take the blue articulated “BAYSIDE BLUE” bus from YCAT (Yokohama City Air Terminal) at Yokohama Station East Exit and get off at Pacifico Yokohama North.

Why start from Rinko Park? Because we want you to first enjoy the cherry blossoms slowly while feeling the refreshing sea breeze!

There are several shops nearby, including OK Minato Mirai, making it convenient to pick up snacks before your hanami walk. Get prepared and head out for a beautiful spring stroll!

Rinko Park | Relax on the Lawn and Enjoy Both Sakura and the Sea

If you want to enjoy both cherry blossoms and the ocean at a relaxed pace in Minato Mirai, Rinko Park is the perfect choice.
On slightly elevated ground, Somei Yoshino and Kawazu cherry trees bloom beautifully, offering a unique view of the Bay Bridge and the InterContinental Yokohama Grand framed by sakura.

The vast seaside lawn area has plenty of benches and picnic spots, making it one of the best hanami locations where you can relax even on weekends.
Bring a picnic sheet or a small tent and enjoy an even more leisurely time.

Feel the sea breeze and watch boats and cruise ships pass by — a truly Yokohama-style cherry blossom experience.

It’s also lovely to enjoy donuts or bread bought at Timber Wharf while relaxing here!

In spring 2025, it was surprisingly uncrowded even during peak bloom on weekends — truly a hidden gem!
However, since Timber Wharf opened in October, weekends have become livelier. The 2026 cherry blossom season may be busier, so keep that in mind!

Still, compared to Tokyo’s famous hanami spots, it’s much more spacious and relaxing!

Around Megami Bridge | Capture Sakura with the Ferris Wheel & Landmark Tower

Walking along the waterfront from Rinko Park, you’ll pass Pukari Pier and arrive at Megami Bridge, near the InterContinental, Manyo Club, and the Cup Noodles Museum.

The cherry blossoms viewed from Megami Bridge are absolutely stunning!Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris Wheel and Landmark Tower create a dramatic Minato Mirai backdrop, with sakura lining the canal.

Try zooming in to capture petals with Minato Mirai’s iconic skyline behind them — the result is spectacular!

This area is busier than Rinko Park, but you can still calmly take your time and enjoy photographing the blossoms.

The open space filled with cherry trees nearby is Cup Noodles Museum Park. You may notice people carrying custom cup noodles — that’s because the Cup Noodles Museum is right next door. Why not stop by to create your own cup noodles or try different varieties inside the museum?

Sakura Street | Walk Through a Tunnel of Cherry Blossoms

Continuing from Megami Bridge, you’ll arrive at Sakura Street.

This 500-meter stretch of cherry trees connecting Sakuragicho Station to Landmark Tower is Minato Mirai’s classic hanami street.
At full bloom, the entire road is wrapped in soft pink, making you feel as if you’re walking through a tunnel of cherry blossoms.

The highlight here is the collaboration with Landmark Tower.
There are many pedestrians, so be careful when stopping, but it’s worth capturing that perfect shot with the tower and blossoms together!

In 2025, the blossoms here bloomed slightly later than those along the waterfront.

Early-Blooming Kawazu Sakura near Nippon Maru

As you head toward Sakuragicho Station along Sakura Street, you’ll see the sailing ship Nippon Maru. Near it, you’ll find early-blooming Kawazu cherry trees.
You can enjoy them before Somei Yoshino bloom, and sometimes even after other cherry blossoms have peaked.

Kishamichi | A Picture-Perfect Spot with Night Views

Kishamichi, a promenade built on former railway tracks over the sea, is another must-visit cherry blossom location.
It’s beautiful during the day, but especially magical at night!

Enjoy illuminated cherry blossoms alongside the sparkling Minato Mirai night skyline.

White blossoms swaying in the breeze, with the Ferris wheel and Landmark Tower glowing behind them — it’s the quintessential Minato Mirai view.
