How the Three Cruise Terminals in Yokohama Port Are Located

Yokohama Port has three cruise ship terminals.

  • Shinko Pier Cruise Terminal
  • Osanbashi Pier
  • Daikoku Pier Cruise Terminal
https://www.city.yokohama.lg.jp/kanko-bunka/minato/kyakusen/terminal.html

The terminals closest to central Yokohama / Minato Mirai are Shinko Pier and Osanbashi Pier.
In particular, Osanbashi extends out into the sea, so ships berthed at Osanbashi are the easiest to see beautifully up close.

Daikoku Pier is on the opposite side of Yokohama Port from the central Yokohama / Minato Mirai area, and it’s also beyond the Yokohama Bay Bridge—so the view will be a bit smaller (though the ship itself can still be seen clearly from places like Osanbashi).

So if you can, we recommend timing your visit for cruise ships that berth at Osanbashi or Shinko Pier!

Yokohama Port Cruise Ship Arrival Schedule (Jan–Mar 2026)

The cruise ship arrival schedule for Yokohama Port is published on the City of Yokohama website.
As of January 17, the schedule is available through March, so we’ll share the details along with monthly highlights♪

January 2026

In January, arrivals and departures are limited to Japanese cruise ships—but there are plenty of days when you can see them.
Asuka II, Asuka III, and Nippon Maru arrive one after another, and on Friday, January 30, Mitsui Ocean Fuji will also call at Yokohama!
On January 10, Asuka II and Asuka III arrived in Yokohama on the same day for the first time in five months.

There are also calls on Sundays and holidays—so pick a date and go check one out!

March 2026

March is one of the busiest months of the year for cruise ships!
There are many days when multiple ships arrive on the same day, and Osanbashi, Shinko, and Daikoku Pier all become lively at once.

No matter whether the ship is domestic or international, you’ll have plenty of chances to enjoy dramatic views—two ships berthed at once across Osanbashi, or combinations of Osanbashi and Shinko, and more.
On Friday, March 20, you can enjoy the second same-day arrival of Asuka II and Asuka III this year♪

What’s more, on Friday, March 30, Piano Land—making its first-ever call at Yokohama Port—will berth at Daikoku Pier!

Access to Each Cruise Terminal

Access to Shinko (Yokohama Port Shinko Pier)

  • Minatomirai Line “Bashamichi Station”: about a 10-minute walk from Exit 3
  • JR / Yokohama Municipal Subway “Sakuragicho Station”: about a 15-minute walk from the North Gate
  • Yokohama City Bus
    • From Sakuragicho Station, take routes such as 105 or 8 and get off at “Shinko Pier” (right nearby)
  • Sea Bus (water bus)
    • Just a short walk from the Hammerhead pier

Since the Shinko area is a waterfront port zone, the basic route is simply to walk straight toward the sea from the station.
Using the bus or Sea Bus can take you right up close to the harbor area, which is super convenient.

Access to Osanbashi (Yokohama Osanbashi International Passenger Terminal)

  • JR “Sakuragicho Station”: about a 20-minute walk from the North Gate
  • Minatomirai Line “Nihon-odori Station”: about a 15-minute walk from Exit 3
  • Yokohama City Bus
    • From Sakuragicho Station, take routes such as 8 or 105 and get off at “Osanbashi” (right nearby)
  • Sea Bus (water bus)
    • It’s a bit of a walk, but you can also walk from the “Pier Aka-Renga” stop. The view of cruise ships from the Red Brick Warehouse side is amazing, too!

Osanbashi is close to the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse and Yamashita Park, and it’s popular as a harbor walk route.

Access to Daikoku Pier (Yokohama Port Daikoku Passenger Terminal)

Daikoku Pier is located a bit away within Yokohama Port’s harbor zone, and there is no train station directly connected. Public transportation is mainly bus + walking.

  • From JR “Tsurumi Station” / Keikyu “Keikyu Tsurumi Station”
→ Take a Yokohama City Bus bound for “Daikoku” (e.g., routes 140/148, etc.) for about 20–30 minutes
→ Get off at “Daikoku Pier” and walk a short distance
  • From JR “Shinsugita Station”
→ Take the Seaside Line to “Torihama Station”
→ Then walk + take a taxi (around 20 minutes total)
  • Taking a taxi is the most reliable option in terms of time and frequency
    • About 15–20 minutes from Tsurumi Station / about 20–25 minutes from Shinsugita Station

Bus services are relatively infrequent, so be careful!
