What Is Yokohama Night Flowers?
In Yokohama Minatomirai, short fireworks displays are held on selected weekends. These 5-minute shows are called “Yokohama Night Flowers.” The fireworks are themed around flowers and greenery, leading up to GREEN×EXPO 2027♪
Yokohama Night Flowers – Fireworks Schedule from January to September 2026
The fireworks dates and times from January to September 2026 have been officially announced. Please note that there are some weekends without fireworks.

Fireworks Launch Locations & Best Viewing Spots
Yokohama Night Flowers fireworks are launched from two different locations, depending on the date.
(A) Shinko Pier
(B) Osanbashi Pier
No matter which location the fireworks are launched from,
they can be enjoyed throughout the Yokohama Minatomirai area.
That said, here are some especially recommended viewing spots.
(A) Shinko Pier: Rinko Park – Megami Bridge – Yokohama Hammerhead
(B) Osanbashi Pier: Red Brick Park, Osanbashi “Whale’s Back,” Yamashita Park
All viewing spots are free of charge. The waterfront areas are spacious and open, allowing you to enjoy the fireworks comfortably without heavy crowds.
Access to Fireworks Viewing Areas
(A) Access to Shinko Pier
Shinko Pier is within walking distance of major sightseeing spots in Yokohama Minatomirai. It’s a perfect area to enjoy fireworks while strolling through beautiful night scenery.
- Minatomirai Line “Minatomirai Station”: About 15 minutes on foot (toward Rinko Park)
- Minatomirai Line “Bashamichi Station”: About 15 minutes on foot (via Bankokubashi Bridge)
- JR “Sakuragicho Station”: About 20 minutes on foot (via Kishamichi Promenade)
You can also access Shinko Pier by Sea Bass (water bus). Enjoy scenic views of Yokohama from the water on your way.

- Boarding available from Yokohama Station East Exit and Yamashita Park
(B) Access to Osanbashi Pier
Osanbashi Pier is one of Yokohama Port’s most iconic sightseeing spots.
The rooftop deck “Whale’s Back” offers an open, unobstructed view of the fireworks.
- Minatomirai Line “Nihon-Odori Station”: About 7 minutes on foot (Exit 3 recommended)
- JR “Kannai Station”: About 15 minutes on foot
- Minatomirai Line “Motomachi-Chukagai Station”: About 15 minutes on foot
The route from Nihon-Odori Station is mostly straight and easy to follow,
making it ideal even for first-time visitors.
Along the way, you can enjoy historic buildings and harbor views.
Large-Scale Fireworks Events in Yokohama Minatomirai (2026)
In addition to weekend fireworks, Yokohama Minatomirai hosts two major fireworks festivals each year.
Some details for 2026 are not yet confirmed, but please use the following as reference.
* Please note that the Minatomirai Smart Festival in 2025 was canceled due to a barge fire. As a result, the scale and format of the 2026 event remain uncertain.
45th Yokohama Port Opening Festival (2026)
This is one of Yokohama’s largest annual festivals. Fireworks are traditionally launched on the final night.

- June 1 (Mon) and June 2 (Tue), 2026
Details have not yet been announced, but if past years are any indication, fireworks are expected on June 2. In 2025, approximately 3,000 fireworks were launched from off Rinko Park between 19:20 and 20:00.
Minatomirai Smart Festival (First Monday of August)
The largest fireworks event in Yokohama Minatomirai. It is usually held on the first Monday of August, with fireworks launched offshore from Rinko Park.
This festival is known for its incredible intensity, with around 20,000 fireworks launched in just 25 minutes (19:30–19:55).
However, the 2025 event was canceled midway due to a barge fire. Even if the festival is held in 2026, changes such as a reduced scale may occur. Please stay tuned for future updates.
